I am Shoy, an ageing baker in the Portland, Oregon area. I still consider Humboldt County CA, home, though. Much to my doctors chagrin, I cannot quit baking. I spend way too much time cruising food sites to come up with new ideas and recipes. Fortunately, my younger sister and her family live just 2 blocks away and I can send the bulk of my creations home with them to be devoured by 2 active teenagers. Kids…gotta love ’em! I also love to try and recreate at home dishes I have “discovered” in restaurants.
I love your site. Keep it up !
Hi Shoy! Yummy I can’t wait to try the recipes. Your bear claws remind me of coming over and spending the nights with Erica as a kid!
Bear Claws are posted–enjoy!
Hey Jessie-Howzit goin? I’ll take the bear-claws reference as a hint–but as long as it’s in the 80’s up here I don’t do alot of baking…just so you know and think I’m ignoring you. We don’t have air-conditioning in this house (boo-hoo) I can’t believe you remember them after all these years! I’ll try and get to them soon. Thanks for writing,
Shoy
Hi Shoy, it’s Janet, Barbara’s friend from Coquille. I fondly remember our visit to Eureka and the great food and friendship we shared with you there.
It’s great to see that you’re still in the kitchen creating one tasty comment after another.
Best wishes,
Janet
Hey Janet! How’s it going? Still got that beautiful flower shop? I remember your visit fondly also and miss seeing you and Barb as much as I used to. Hope that changes soon
Shoy
Hey Shoy…..we’re doing the flower thing in a new place.
We sold the old building and are now in a new smaller building on a half acre so more room for plants.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and I’m sure the smells
coming from you kitchen drive your neighbors nuts.
Talk soon,
Janet.
